Mayfair Hotel

Absolutely loved our stay. Room was clean Wendy was friendly and helpful. Operate a contactless check in but we still felt very safe and the building was very secure. Will happily stay again and hope to do so in the near future. Thanks

I love this hotel! Yes its not perfect but look at the price it has so much character. I stayed with my two children a few times and they loved it. Made some great memories in this hotel. Such good value! The owner was lovely and real Gem of hotel and location great. I really cant wait to stay again going to book in the next few weeks again.

I booked this hotel as a last minute decision due to my car breaking down after doing so I looked at the reviews and was a bit put off But I will admit our room was fine there was no bug issues and it was clean and spacious. We had the top floor of the house and were pleasantly surprised by the space we had. There was 2 rooms one double one single a full kitchen a toilet shower room. we were only staying one night. we found the room quite comfortable the only issue we found was the hallway smelled like fag's and deodorant once in the room it was okay. The house is quite nicely decorated we loved the old singer sewing machine in the hall. The views were had from our room were beautiful you can see for miles. Overall I would return to this hotel. The staff were fantastic couldn't fault them. The rooms are very secure with code locks which in the area at night helped us feel safe.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Great location. It's spotless, the cleaners do such a great job, everyone is nice and friendly. Great value for money. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mayfair hotel but we were quite scared before checking in due to reading the reviews. I can confirm the hotel is nowhere near as bad as the reviews suggest. A street away from the seafront we arrived at the hotel with a phone number to ring to gain the door codes to the hotel and our room and with in seconds they picked up and filled us in with all the information we needed to know. We paid £40 for the night and in our room was a double bed, two sofas, big TV, fridge, sink, wardrobe and a kettle with complementary tea, coffee and sugar. We did not expect all this in our budget room knowing hotel rooms for triple the price would not have some of these things. The only downside was we found a couple hairs in the bed but nothing out of the ordinary. The room smelt great and not like damp dog like other reviews suggest. Free parking right outside the hotel which is very convenient. Overall we had a great time in our cozy room and would stay again.

Amazed at the bad reviews. The hotel is advertised as 2 star so people should not go in expecting dimond shower heads or marble floors. In fact we were very presently surprised at this hotel. We stayed just for the 1 night and this hotel was perfect for that. We had the deluxe double room that had a fridge, kettle and on-suite. The building is victorian but has some nice decor and smells clean. Could not fault our room, especially for the price which was £28. Its not the Ritz, you get what you pay for but as long as its clean and functional that's what counts. Bed linen was nice a fresh and the mattress was comfortable. Extra pillows provided if needed. Only fault for me personally Booking was easy, friendly lady on the phone when we arrived and immediately sent us the door and room codes. If you have reduced mobility then maybe give it a miss as has steep stairs but we were okay. Note that you only get the on-suite in the deluxe rooms and apartment, the other rooms have a shared bathroom from what we could see. This hotel is perfect for the odd night just to sleep, but of staying longer I'd reccomend finding a hotel that has a bigger bathroom.

Clean tidy room. Everything in room you need. Really comfortable bed. We didn't meet Karen only called as TV batteries needed changing which was attended to straight away. Great location. Def stay again. Would recommend.

The budget room exceeded my expectations. It was exceptionally well-presented and maintained with tasteful decor. The bathroom and WC were also spotless. I highly recommend this establishment for short stays. Additionally, complimentary parking is provided, and the pier is conveniently located within walking distance.
